For the hubby's 2nd day off work we decided to all go to the Colorado Rockies game!

It was the perfect day for a ball game, not too hot with a little breeze. Ah!

The kids totally surprised us with being able to sit through out the entire game! Did you hear me? The ENITRE game! We received little bobble head dolls when we first entered the park and that kept Alexis entertained. She used them like Barbie dolls! (ha!) And then there was our sweet Pax, who watched the game so closely and loved every minute of it. (In fact, he hasn't stopped talking about it since! Maybe baseball will be in his future?)

We ate hot dogs, pretzels, cotton candy and drank lots of lemonade.

It was a perfect day.

We had pizza for dinner tonight at the pool, followed by me practicing more with my underwater camera. (I'm a little obsessed!)

My husband has been working 60-80 hours a week for the past 4 months and his boss told him to take 10 days off! Wahoo! We have planned so many fun things for us to do each day and I'm really looking forward to spending a lot of time as a family. I don't think I'll be able to edit or post on the blog until he is back to work. I want to soak up every minute I can. See you all in a few weeks! =)

Although your pictures don't come out technically great (I'm literally putting the camera underwater and clicking away and praying that something comes from it)

Last day of swimming lessons! Wahooo!

The kids snuggled up together with a pillow and blanket and watched The Lorax on daddy's phone. I love when they have sweet moments like this!

I read this article about your garage being one of the best sources for light since it acts like a giant softbox. I tried it... and it's awesome!

I had Alexis at the very edge of the garage. I love how evenly lit she is and how everything in the background fell into black.

Who would have guessed? I can't wait to take more pictures in my garage!

We're apart of our neighborhood playgroup and one of the moms set up a tour at the local fire station.

We learned all about fire safety, got to check out all the fire trucks, got to see where the firefighters live and work, and the best part... we got our own firefighter hats!

First day of swimming lessons!

What mom signs their child up for the 8:30AM session of swimming lessons? Apparently I wasn't thinking. It was rough getting everyone up, fed, dressed and ready to get out the door. 

She's so cute though, she's our fish.

Happy Father's Day!

We spent the day at the Renaissance Festival!

We were watching the Wench Show and Cory got called up to participate in the act! They had him do all sorts of hilarious stuff. It was a fun show.

We rode an Elephant and a Camel, did some archery, watched a parade, went on a giant swing, and ate turkey legs! 

It started to down pour on us and we decided it was time to go. We were all soaked by the time we got back to our cars, but the kids slept long and hard the whole long drive home.

Happy Father's Day to the most wonderful daddy there is! I love you so much!

We spent the weekend with my parents in Colorado Springs (about 2.5 hours away). Our first stop was at the North Pole Amusement Park, it's a Christmas themed park, so cute! We love this place. It's a little run down, but it's always dead. No lines to ride rides and it's up in the beautiful mountains, can't get much better than that! 

Paxton is afraid of everything. EVERYTHING! We forced him to go on this car ride that went very slow in a circle. After his first ride, he didn't want to get off and he rode it over and over and over and OVER again! =) He also started trying out other rides too and actually enjoyed them. We were so proud.

Playing hopscotch at the Library!

Taking the kids to the pool last summer was so easy. Paxton would sit in his baby float and was content just kicking his legs. Alexis liked staying in the 2 feet deep part of the pool playing with her water toys. Boy has things changed.... Paxton no longer wants to be in any float, he wants to jump off the side of the pool into the water, even when mommy isn't ready for him to jump. Alexis has become more brave, wanting to actually swim underwater in deeper parts and heaven forbid I grab her when she gets too deep! "I can do it myself mommy!" *sigh* I'm thinking we'll leave pool time for when daddy gets off work and can come with us! I almost had about a million heartattacks in a 2 hour setting.

Today was Alexis' big dance recital day!

I was so proud of her for doing so great in both of her dances! It was a great show.

Alexis had her dance rehearsal all day today for her big recital tomorrow! Since we're not allowed to take pictures during the actual recital I took full advantage of the rehearsal and took tons! 

Here she is performing her "Snuggle Puppy" ballet dance. SO cute!

I've been in such a rut lately and not feeling creative at all. I decided it was time to snap myself out of it and try something new. So....we went to a new location! This is in an ally in Old Town Fort Collins. I took so many pictures of my kiddos and I loved them all! I'm feeling refreshed and those creative juices seem to be running again... thank goodness!

I took the kids to the library today. They're favorite part is always playing games on these computers.

Paxton had his 2 year well-check today and luckily no shots!

He is in the 37th percentile for weight and the 93rd percentile for height! Tall boy!

Alexis told Paxton in the waiting room "Ok Paxton you're going to get lots of shots today and they're going to hurt really bad and you're going to cry because you're still a baby..... but I'll hold your hand...ok?"
