Alexis had her Halloween party at Preschool today. I was able to come and help out! Here she is playing a game where you pass around the pumpkin which is full of prizes and when the music stops whoever is holding the pumpkin gets the prize. She loved this game and I loved watching her having a blast with her friends.

Today we carved pumpkins! Or I should say...Cory and I carved pumpkins =) The kids liked pulling all the guts out and tracing the pattern onto the pumpkin but we left the actual carving to the big kids ;)  My punkins with the pumpkins!

The best grocery shopping helper ever!

For being 2.5 years old he sure is super laid back and easy going. There's not much that upsets him and there's a whole lot that makes him happy. Love that boy.

I decided to join our local MOPS group. Today was my trial before I sign up. The kids were dropped off in a daycare that the church provides while I eat breakfast, talk, listen to speakers, do crafts with a whole lot of other moms. It was wonderful. The kids really had a great time. But when I went to get Paxton out of his daycare room he had the worst runny nose and I could tell he was sick. He fell asleep in the car on the way home and he hardly ate his lunch. He took a 3 hour nap! After he woke up all he wanted was to snuggle with daddy and watch a movie. I hope this little head cold runs its course quickly.

Alexis had her first fieldtrip today! Her Pre-K class went to the Pumpkin Patch and I got to tag along to help out. There is nothing more fun then helping 18 preschool kiddos in a very muddy mess of a pumpkin patch. Ha! Here's Alexis with her friend Elli. She talks about her alllll the time and it was nice watching them play together, I can see why Alexis likes her so much, they are 2 peas in a pod.

A mom at Alexis' preschool asked if we wanted to join them at the Children's Museum so that our girls could play (they are the bestest buds!) I decided to only bring my point and shoot though. I wanted to chat with the mom and not worry about camera settings and lighting. Paxton absolutely loved riding this car, he rode it almost the entire time. The girls had a blast together too. It was a fun morning for everyone.

I heard our doorbell ring and when I answered I saw this sign along with 2 big bags full of treats for the kids. I guess there has been a friendly ghost going around our neighborhood leaving treats for all the kids. We live in the best neighborhood ever! =)

As today went on I could tell that she was getting sick. She has a runny nose and her little voice is slowly fading. She went to bed a whole hour earlier than usual and she was fast asleep the moment her head hit the pillow. I'm hoping she'll get some great rest tonight and hopefully feeling better in the morning. I hate when my babies get sick.

We had such a fun Saturday!

We started our day off going to the pumpkin patch. We spent over an hour picking out the perfect pumpkins. I love that this farm has so many photo ops set up around the farm.

Then we went to our neighborhoods Chili Cook-Off! We ate 8 different chili's and voted on our favorite 3. It was hard to choose, they all were so good. Put my chili to shame! The kids got to decorate some pumpkins and play at the park while we ate chili and visited. It was fun.

Later that evening we took the kids to Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs 2! It was super cute and all of us enjoyed it.

I love spending Saturdays making memories with my family!

Alexis was in the Colorado State University Homecoming Parade tonight. She was a zombie girl and danced to Thriller with the rest of the girls she dances with at her dance studio. She was super cute and she had a fabulous time!

Alexis has dance class on Thursday afternoons. Her favorite part is getting stamps on her hands afterwards! She's always so excited to see what the stamp will be this week...

...this week it was Halloween stamps. She was thrilled!

A friend of mine and I took our kids to a local dairy this morning. They were able to see some farm animals and pet them, watch the cows get milked, play on a tractor, and eat homemade ice-cream! It was a fun morning!

I took the kids out this evening to take some Fall pictures at one of my favorite locations. This picture was an outtake, they were laughing so hard at Cory dancing behind me. I took this as I was metering and snapped a few test shots to make sure I was happy with my settings. It ended up being my most favorite picture!

After watching a very intense Bronco game we decided to make Halloween cupcakes! They sure are yummy!

Cory and I had to be up super early this saturday morning because we had a softball tournment we needed to get to. We surprised the kids with doughnuts for breakfast. They thought we were the best parents ever,  but really it was quick and easy! =)

It was a cold and rainy day today. The perfect day for lounging in sweats and watching movies. After dropping Alexis off at school Pax and I went to Starbucks to have some breakfast (he loves the banana bread there!) Then we came home snuggled on the couch and watched Madagascar until it was time to go pick Alexis up. I loved our little date. Sweet boy.

The tree in our front yard is an itty bitty one. We moved into a brand new home just a little over a year ago, so our landscaping isn't mature. But our teeny tiny tree has changed colors and it sure looks beautiful! I love the Fall!

I spent the entire day cleaning out the kids' closets. Since it is officially Fall and we are supposed to get snow on Friday I thought it would be a good day to get all the summer clothes gone to make room for winter clothes. I washed, folded, organized and stuffed clothes in all of these bags and it filled up the whole back of our mini-van. I then took them to a local place that pays you for your kids used clothing! I made $300! It was a good day! =)
