30|365 - warm winter day
We got home from dropping Alexis off at her theater class and Pax begged me to play outside. So we rode scooters, pushed baby dolls in strollers, and soaked in this beautifully warm winter day.

29|365 - mommy's wedding dress
I took pictures of Alexis wearing my wedding dress when she was 2, and I haven't done it since! It was time to pull it back out and get some more of her, and also some of Brexlyn too.

The big kids didn't have school today so I dragged them to a home decor store. They were so good pushing the cart and playing with Brexlyn while I browsed the isles. I wish I could take them with me more often!

I've been struggling with the winter blues the past few weeks, and today I just had to get out of the house! So Brexlyn and I spent the morning at the library…. reading books, doing puzzles, and playing games. It was exactly what we needed!

25|365 - eye appointment
Paxton had his annual eye appointment. Let's just say….. it didn't go well.
His eyes are great!
But we waited in the waiting room for 45 minutes to even be called back. Plus another hour and 45 minutes waiting on different tests and doctors and his eyes to dilate. All in all, we were there for 2.5 hours. Did I mention that I had Brexlyn with me too? She was screaming and crying almost the entire time and there was nothing for kids to do other than watch a movie - Madagascar - which didn't hold her attention. I somehow kept it together long enough to get in the car, and then I shed some tears as I drove Paxton to school. Sometimes having toddlers is hard. Really hard! And sometimes when you're put in situations beyond your control with said toddler, it feels like your losing your mind.
You win some, you lose some.
Today, I lost.

18|365 - american girl
The moment she got in the car after school she was asking if she could play American Girl when she got home. She ran upstairs without even wanting a snack! I grabbed my camera hoping to document her playing, since American Girl is such a huge love of hers right now, but she looked at my as if I was crazy, smiled for this one photo, and then asked if she could play by herself. Ha! I respected her wishes and left her alone, even though I really wanted more photos.

15|365 - rollerskating
Tonight was the kick off event for Girl Scout cookies! The party was held at the roller-skating rink and my kids were so excited! Until they had their skates on and kept falling down. They were completely over it only 20 minutes in and we ended up leaving the party early. I did get a couple of photos though!

Alexis received a gift card to Justice for her birthday and today was the day to go spend it! She reeeeeally wanted these emoji fake nails, and the moment we got home she begged me to help her put them on. They lasted a whole 30 minutes before she got annoyed with them and they were off, haha!
