Our small town is known for all the Pelicans. In fact, almost all the restaurants and stores have Pelican in the title. We go on family walks around the lake a lot and that's where most of them are. I figured I'd bring my camera this time and had high hopes of capturing one just taking off while it's wings are fully out. It never goes as planned though, right? I must have ran into Pelican nap time because these 2 on the left were the only ones that were awake. I waited and waited for one to take off and it never happened. Those dang Pelicans!
