Week 17

What a week! I'm exhausted just thinking about it. I'm glad it's over. I had several sessions to edit (which is a good thing, I love my job!) but it takes time. I'm also watching a friends baby now 3 times a week, he sure is cute and he is happiest if I hold him all day long. Needless to say, I don't get much done on those days. Alexis had 2 dance practices and 2 soccer practices this week. I had a MOPS meeting. Alexis had 2 soccer games and a dance competition. We had an adult friends surprise birthday party (so fun!). Busy. Really busy. I'm ready for summer.

I did manage to squeeze in some fun with the kids. We had a picnic at the park. Is it weird that I miss them? I was technically home with them the whole week, but was either working or running them around. It was nice to have an hour at the park together, to just play and unwind and catch up!

Alexis had her last dance competition of the season. They did awesome! It was the best they've ever performed, I was a proud mama.

…..and who doesn't love some bubble bath pictures?

Week 16

Alexis had a Easter party at preschool. Cory had the day off and was able to go too! I could only stay for the first half, then I had to take off to a photo session. But I watched her decorate her Easter bag and ate the Easter egg rice krispy treats they made, super cute. Cory got to stay and help with the Easter egg hunt, he got some pretty cute pictures with his phone, but here's the ones I got with the big girl camera. ;)

Later that afternoon we had the big Easter Egg Hunt with our neighborhood. We have the greatest neighborhood with the best social community who puts on the most FABULOUS events! It was fun.

Alexis had her 2nd Soccer Game. This one went much better than the first ;)
She wasn't singing and dancing on the field this time, ha!

Dying Easter Eggs is not my most favorite thing. There's a lot of prep work for this and it only entertains my kids for 10 minutes and they're over it.

Happy Easter! We spent the day at my parents house. We ate a big lunch, had a small egg hunt for the kids in the backyard, ate lots of pie, went to the theater and saw Rio 2 (really good movie!), ate some more pie and called it a day. I think my kids will be on a sugar high for the next week. Lord help me!

Week 15

Alexis had her FIRST soccer game! We were all so excited for the occasion, we even invited grandma and papa to come along. She sure was cute in her little jersey and pigtails. Her coach put her as goalie. She was afraid of the ball, but she loved singing and dancing in front of the goal. I'm so happy Cory caught it all on camera. We talked with her about paying attention to the ball and watching where it is so that she would be ready to block it. I think it went right over her head. ;)

After her game we went out to brunch with grandma and papa and we went over to their house so the kids could play with their toys (grandma and papa's toys are more fun then ours apparently).

We went with some friends to "Baby Animal Days". It's a cute little event that a local farm puts on so the kids can come and see and pet the baby animals. It was pretty cold out but we had a good time. I think Alexis' favorite was the white pony and Paxton's was the baby ducks. He thought it was hilarious that the ducks would go swimming in their water dish.

The cutest bunch of kiddos! I just LOVE all of them.

We FINALLY had a super warm Spring day. I didn't want to waste it! It was the perfect time to get Easter pictures of the kids wearing their Easter best. So I took them out to my new favorite picture location and we had a 2 hour shoot. I can't believe they gave me 2 whole hours. It was fun!

(this one is my favorite! I'm thinking of getting it on canvas and hanging on my wall. What do you all think?)
