Week 4

Alexis had her very first dance competition on Saturday. It was held at the University of Denver's concert hall. We were so excited! We decided to go down to Denver on Friday and spent the night in a hotel. My parents joined us. We got to the hotel first and my parents were a couple hours behind us so we decided to stop at a Jamba Juice! We haven't had one in forever and it was oh so tasty!

All of the "lovies" we had to bring with us. This always cracks me up.

The day of her competition happened so fast! We got there pretty early in the morning. I had to get her ready and once we were done her teacher was taking her team backstage and I was heading out to the audience. There was absolutely no picture taking aloud (they enforced it pretty heavily) so I wasn't able to get any pictures of her actually dancing, which I was super bummed about. They danced beautifully and they all did such a fantastic job. We were shining with pride. It wasn't until after I got her out of her costume and dressed that I realized I had yet to take a picture of the competition. I was so upset with myself. So here is my one and only picture of her big day.

Awards were next! Again no picture taking of this either. Ugh. But my husband was able to sneak his phone up and video it (hehe) and I'm so glad he did, because they won FIRST PLACE! She got her very own medal and her dance teacher received the trophy. She is so dang proud of that medal and has been wearing it everyday since.

Week 3

I took Alexis out to take her 5 year old pictures! We started in our old town area of our town and then walked down to a nature area to finish up. Her session was 1.5 hours long! Can you believe it? I thought she would give me a good 10 minutes of pictures, but she was such a ham and we both had a lot of fun. I got so many good ones that I love, but here are a few of my favorites!

AFC CHAMPIONS! We were so nervous for the big game on Sunday. I hardly slept the night before. What can I say, I bleed the orange and blue! It was a good game, mostly because we WON and we're on our way to the SUPERBOWL! Eek! I'm so excited! Here's my babies supporting their favorite sports team (as if they have a choice) ;)

Cory and I were watching the Seahawk vs. 49ers game and Paxton came down saying his tummy hurt. Cory picked him up and told him to lay down for a bit then. Next thing we know, he is passed out. I couldn't resist but take some pictures of my sleeping lil man. It's not too often anymore that I can capture him like this.

We decided to put him to bed early. An hour after bedtime he woke up screaming. We ran into his room to find vomit everywhere. And I mean everywhere! Poor guy was right, his tummy did hurt. We got everything cleaned up and had him sleep in bed with us that night. He was back to himself in the morning… phew!

A different perspective of my babies eating their breakfast in the morning.

Week 2

Alexis had her 5 year well check..... she's well. =)
(I love Paxton crawling around in the background!)

Alexis had her Winter Dance Recital! She is on the petite mini competition team. They all did so good. I was one proud mama.

Aren't they so cute?

Week 1

We started off the year with our annual New Years Day picture.
I take a picture of the kids holding what year it is on January 1st every year. It's a fun tradition, although it always seems to be extra freezing on the 1st of each year.

Alexis got a duplicate gift for Christmas so we had to exchange it for something else. She had $21 to spend. We walked those aisles for a whole hour. She could not decide. She is her father's daughter =)
.... and finally she walked passed a Brave bow & arrow and she was sold. She didn't need to think about it anymore, she was sure.
She insisted that she carry it the whole way home and begged me to open it before I could even get through the door. She played with it the entire day.

I am not a play-doh fan...at all. I dispise the stuff! It always ends up getting rock hard or caked into my carpet some how. But Alexis had been seeing a commercial with the dentist play-doh set and she would start jumping up and down begging us to get it for her. So...... one of her gifts from us was the dentist play-doh thing. She's lucky I love her so much =)
I was dreading pulling it out of the box and I put it off for 2 whole weeks! But eventually this little girl couldn't wait another moment to rip it open and get her dentist on. She was in heaven. 2 whole hours of fun for her.

This week has been cold! Mostly single digit temps. The kids wake up each morning asking if they can go outside and play and I have to break their dreams everytime. It's just too cold. Well today finally reached a high of 24 degrees! We pulled all the snow stuff out and got it on and played in the snow all morning long. The kids didn't come in until it was lunch time. Their little red cheeks and noses... and the huge smiles on their faces. They had a good day.

This girl wakes up with some CRAZY bedhead! But todays was espicially crazy.
