Week 17

My husband has the magic touch. Paxton gave up his nap about 9 months ago. Over the past few weeks it has become clear that he still needs one. Those late afternoon hours into the evening are brutal.  No matter how hard I try to get him to clam down, lay down, and take a nap, he just won't do it. But Cory can wrap him up in a blanket, turn on a movie, and he is out in seconds! It's totally not fair.

I haven't taken bath photos in awhile. I love pictures of my kids in the bath.

This girl and her apples! She insists that I pack her an apple everyday for snack at school. She says she doesn't like to eat the snack that her school provides (goldfish, animal crackers, etc.) She only wants an apple. A lot of times she wants another apple later in the day too. They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away…. lets hope that's true! =)

Week 16

We got the crib and dresser pulled out of storage and set up in the nursery. As we were putting her room together it became more and more real that I'm soon going to be the mother of 3! I am so excited! We still have a lot that we want to add to the room- mostly pictures and canvases of her newborn photos, so that will have to wait and come later…

Paxton loves the Planes movies- especially Fire and Rescue. He thinks Dusty Crophopper is the greatest thing since sliced bread! This has been his favorite toy of the moment lately.

For Earth Day Alexis had to make a trash monster out of recycled goods. We took a pop-can and painted it and added some lids for eyes and paper for arms and hair. She thought it looked like those crazy purple minions from Despicable Me. Ha!

Week 15

Alexis had her 2nd soccer game of the season and oh my goodness!! I am not sure where it came from but that girl started to be aggressive and go after the ball. Cory and I were speechless. Where did this girl come from? She was a rockstar and almost scored a goal even! We were so proud of her for trying so hard.

We painted baby girls nursery! It's a super light pink color called Sacred. I love it! I can't wait to start getting her nursery put together, it's becoming so real that we'll have another baby soon! I'm getting super excited to meet her, but also want to enjoy every last minute of being pregnant where I can keep her all to myself. =)

Alexis received this Frozen game for Christmas and it's a mix between shoots and ladders and candy land. The kids played it over and over again for a whole hour and they were such good sports with each other. They were cheering each other on and being happy for the one who won, that never happens! (and Paxton is back into wanting to be Captain America everyday and this costume never comes off.)

Paxton has been begging me for months to make and decorate cookies. I finally gave in. Him and I made the cookies and baked them while Alexis was in school. Then after she got home we all decorated them together. After lots of frosting and sprinkle fun, the kids ran off to play and left me with a huge mess in the kitchen. Sigh.

Week 14

Let the Easter festivities begin!

First up was the Easter egg hunt that our neighborhood puts on. I loved that the eggs were filled with little things like stickers, erasers, tattoos, etc. instead of candy! The kids made out well and had a great time.

Alexis had her first soccer game of the season! She told us she wasn't going to sing and dance in the goal this year…. but she did. =)

Next up was dying Easter eggs. I bought the sea creatures pack at Target, it was fun!

Easter morning the kids were so excited to find their baskets and woke us up super early. Made me laugh. I think they were very happy with the Easter bunny this year. =)

Then we got dressed in our Easter best. I love buying the kids coordinating outfits for holidays. I will be so bummed when they don't allow me to do it anymore.

Then we headed over to my parents house. We had prime rib and baked potatoes and my parents had a egg hunt set up for them in their backyard. It was a nice and relaxing day.

My parents gave Paxton this Spider-man mask for Easter and he wanted nothing to do with it that day. But the next day, he wouldn't take it off! He even wore it to come with me to pick sis up from Kindergarten. Too funny!
