Week 52

Another year in the books.

Another photo project completed.

We had Christmas Eve over at my grandmas house. The kids opened a lot of presents. I ate a lot of food. It was a good time! ;)

The kids were up early Christmas morning. They were excited to see what Santa had brought for them.

Our Alexis is SEVEN!! We had her family party at our house and kept it real simple. Just a cupcake cake in the shape of a 7 and presents. That's it.

On her actual birthday we started off the day with our family tradition of having breakfast in bed. She asked for eggs and toast, we delievered.

She wanted to go to the American Girl Store and pick out a new doll for her birthday and she also had gotten a lot of money for her birthday that was burning a hole in her pocket. So off we went…..

After we walked away with THREE new dolls, we went to the Cheesecake Factory for her birthday lunch. She got the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough cheesecake and ate ALL of it.

I can't believe she's 7! I'm falling behind this year and need to still take her 7 year old pictures. Hopefully we'll have a warm day soon and we can get that done. =)

I'm still wanting to do a project 365 for 2016, but I'm also talking myself out of it. Ugh. I don't know what I should do? I guess we will see how I feel tomorrow……….

Goodbye 2015, you were so good to us. We're excited to see what 2016 has in store.
=)

Week 51

I volunteered to be a parent helper for Alexis' Christmas party at school. I really enjoy being able to be involved with my kids' schools. The party went great and I think all the kids had a lot of fun!

Zoo Lights! This is a fun tradition that we do every year and it's always one of my favorites!

Gingerbread house decorating……. Usually Cory makes and builds the houses, but I found these already made ones at Target and thought the price was worth saving the time…

Here's what Brexi-bear did while we decorated. Isn't she so cute? Gah, I love her!

We baked cookies for Santa. We didn't go as all out as we usually do, but I had a cranky teething baby who was only happy if mama was holding her. That made it interesting to help the older kids with their cookies…. oh well, we got it done!

I feel like we can relate to that movie "Four Christmas's". We have so many Christmas to go to. Safeword: MISTLETOE!!! (love that movie!)

Here was the first one…

Only ONE week left! I have loved doing another Project 52 this year… but I've decided I will take on another 365 for 2016. Eeeek! I'm excited!

Week 50

It's that time of year when picture taking gets crazy. So many events…
(warning: large photo share!)

Brexlyn is now sitting in the cart. Instead of being in her infant carrier and put in the cart. It's a bitter-sweet feeling.

We celebrated Alexis' 7th birthday! (her actual birthday is still a few weeks away). She told me she wanted a super girly spa party! With the help of Pinterest I think we pulled it off. =)

She's getting so big! =(

We went and visited Santa. Alexis asked for a real puppy. Paxton asked for a train. Brexlyn enjoyed pulling on his beard.

I wasn't able to get one of just Santa and Brexlyn together and I'm so bummed about it. The elf told me our time was up. Mean Elf.

We went and looked at Christmas lights. Paxton seemed to be the one in the perfect light to get some pictures. I love these photos so much.

He also loves laying under the tree and playing with all the ornaments.

Cory and I brought cookies to Alexis' school to celebrate her birthday with her classmates. She was so excited to have us there and to show off her baby sister to all her friends.

Paxton had his Christmas program at preschool. They sang some Christmas songs and then said their name in the microphone and handed the parents gifts. It was precious. I'm so proud of him.

It was also Ugly Christmas Sweater day…. although he was the only one to participate. lol.
