Week 25

Alexis moved up a level at swimming lessons and she is rocking it! I'm so proud of my little fish. Paxton is getting more used to the water now and even put his head completely under, that's huge for him.

I made a huge Summer Bucket List at the beginning of summer and we put Roller-Skating on it. Today we got to mark that off of our list. The kids have never been before. Alexis had no problem figuring it out and took off skating away and even made some friends that she hung out with the entire time. Paxton started off doing good, but after one fall he was over it. His little legs sure looked cute in those skates though.

I had such a FUN day with the kids today, it was perfect! It started off at Starbucks with an iced coffee (heavenly!) then to swimming lessons, got the kids dried off and dressed and we went to run some errands- they did great. We ended at Hobby Lobby getting some flowers for a head-piece that I'm making for Alexis for a photo-shoot that I'm doing (last picture!) and there it was…. a huge sign that said 80% off all home decor!!! Say what?!? I LOVE the home decor from hobby lobby. So I walked every single aisle and the kids were so patient with me. I got lots of stuff that I'm in love with. After our super long errand run we stopped in at Burger King for lunch (kids choice) while eating Pax told me he had to potty and he actually went on the potty! Yaaaaaaay!!! When we finally made it home we played with sidewalk chalk most of the afternoon and went to T-Ball practice. I love days like today.

One more swimming lessons picture =)

Another T-Ball Game! Alexis is really enjoying it.

I had envisioned this picture for a long time. I love when what I see in my head becomes an image. I will be ordering this large on canvas.

Week 24

I had planned on having a pool day, but the weather chose otherwise. After the morning rain we went for a walk and stopped to jump in all the puddles. Childhood: they do it right.

We had a wedding to go to in Glenwood Springs and it was Father's Day weekend, so we decided to spend the whole weekend there. It was a nice little getaway. The first day I woke the kids up early and headed out to Hanging Lake to take Paxton's 3 year old pictures. I also took a few of Alexis. It's so beautiful up there.

After pictures and some breakfast we went to the Hot Springs Pool! It was our first time at a hot springs. It was expensive, and I'm not quite sure it was worth all that money. But I guess we can all say we've been to one now.

After hours of swimming we went back to the hotel to rest for a few hours before the wedding! The wedding was absolutely gorgeous. We had a great time. I went a little over-board on pictures there, but it was just so beautiful!

(Pax getting ready for the photo-booth! So much FUN!)

The next day was Father's Day and we went to Adventure Park. We rode the Alpine Slide and all the other rides they had. It was fun, but we were tired. So we only spent half a day there and decided to head home. It was a loooong drive home, got caught in traffic and had to make lots of potty stops. But we finally made it. What a great weekend!

I took the kids bowling. There is a local place that does $2 games for preschool aged kids. I'm all about the cheap activities! We played 2 games and it was a lot of fun! Alexis got a 115 score, I was impressed!

First Day of Swimming Lessons! I put both kids in the same level and after this first class I had to move Alexis up a level. Alexis is our fish and Pax is more timid in the water. I have to admit that it's been nice to have both kids involved in an activity at the same time. 30 whole minutes to myself, it goes way too quickly.

After swimming lessons we stayed at the pool and spent the entire day there. We didn't come home until Cory would be home from work. Finally a nice hot day to spend at the pool!
