Things have finally calmed down around here. Today was a catch up day for me. First order of buisness was tackling the mountain of laundry that has built up. Usually I wash Alexis' blanket while she is at school so that she has no idea. But today since I had SO much laundry it didn't get put into the washer until after she had come home. She was devestated. She stood infront of the washer/dryer and watched it the entire time. I'd even hear her say "it's ok kiki, it's almost over, I miss you so much!"

Poor girl.

But when I pulled it out of the dryer there was a huge smile on her face and she said "thank you so much mommy, kiki is all cleaned and she smells GOOD!" =)

Alexis' ice-skating lessons started back up today.

When her lesson was over she had a big smile on her face and announced "Mommy! I only fell ONCE! I can't wait to tell daddy all about it!"

So sweet.

My cousins from Idaho are in town and we got our kids together for a playdate. The kids are so close in age and really hit it off. Alexis said that Katie is her new best friend because they both love pink! Ha! They had a lot of fun together and there was some crying when we had to leave. We're excited for them to visit again!

The day after the wedding we had a very relaxing day. We laid on the couch and watched football....all...day...long. It was wonderful and exactly what we needed after the past few weeks being so crazy busy.

Only 100 DAYS left! Wow!

Happy Wedding Day to my brother and sister-in-law!

I only took 3 pictures today, I decided that I should just enjoy myself and let the professional photographer capture everything. Here's one of my kiddos in the limo on the way to the wedding venue.

It was a gorgeous wedding and all 4 of us had a wonderful time. It was so sweet watching my big brother marry the love of his life. =)

A quick snapshot of my lil man. My camera battery was blinking at me, it's about to die. So I needed to plug it in and let it charge so it would be all ready to go for when we take off for the wedding tomorrow. =)

Today was another day that was full of running errands.

Cory is out of town for a few days with my brother for his bachlor party. As pathetic as this is, I never sleep well when he is gone. Plus we had a major thunderstorm last night and both kids were scared and ended up in bed with me. None of us got any sleep. But this morning as tired as we were I knew I had to press on to get more things ready for the big day! We started out eating breakfast at Starbucks (coffee was a must this morning!) then we headed to get Paxton's haircut. I should have called and made an appointment but I didn't think it would be busy, it was. We had to wait 45 minutes. Luckily they have a play area and the kids were happy just playing and I was able to catch up on some emails! Paxton's hair turned out great and I think he'll be the cutest ring bearer ever! I'm sure of it. Then we had to get something for Alexis to wear in her hair for being the flower girl. I found an adorable pearl headband that will work perfectly! We went home and ate lunch and got Alexis ready for dance class. I took Alexis to her dance class and Paxton and I hung out playing with trains and cars, that was a nice break! After dance we went and picked up Cory (yay, he is finally home!) and we headed to the tux rental place because the guys needed to try on their tuxes (they fit!) and we were able to take them home with us! There just so happened to be a Halloween store next door so we decided to stop in and look for some costumes for the kids. Paxton picked out a pirate costume and Alexis is still unsure of what she wants to be yet. Red Robin is across the street and since I hadn't planned on anything for dinner we decided to stop in and have an early dinner, it was good, really good! After we were stuffed we ran over to my parents house so I could pick up a couple of things. Drove all the way back home, changed my clothes, put on some more makeup to make me look alive, and then I was headed out to play Bunco with my girlfriends. Lots of laughing, drinking and fun! (I won too! Wahoo!) I didn't get home until late  and I am so ready to pass out. Tomorrow is another busy day.... 2 days until the wedding!

This week is going to be a very busy one. I've been running around trying to get everything ready to go for us for my brothers wedding this weekend. But tonight after hours of running errands I took the kids to the park and let them run and play for 45 minutes. It felt great to let my "to do" list go and just play with my babies for awhile.

We woke up this morning to more rain. We've gotten into a nice routine every morning of immediately checking our basement and window wells for water and making sure that we aren't starting to flood. It looked like it was going to be another day of non-stop rain.... but at noon the rain finally stopped.... there was blue skies.... and SUNSHINE! We are celebrating!

The weather says there is an 80% chance for more rain this evening, but for now we are so thrilled to see the sun!

Non-stop rain for the past 3 days.

It has been a scary past few days with all the flooding here in Colorado. The worst of it is in Estes Park (a 45 minute drive from our home). We love Estes Park. We have family that live there, we got married there, and we spend a lot of time in the summers there. Seeing it completely underwater and all the roads to get there are destroyed is just devestating. The river in Estes Park runs all the way down the mountain. This river has now overflowed and is flooding our town. The lake in our town has spilt over and is running down the streets. Every road close to us is closed and we've been stuck inside. We've had neighbors homes start to flood, but luckily we haven't had any flooding in our home! I hope it stays this way! I'm praying hard for all those affected by this flood and hope that all this rain will end soon!

I have been looking forward to this day for a long time! I have lost around 60 lbs and was in dire need of some new clothes that actually fit. We planned for my parents to watch the kids for the day so Cory and I could shop til we drop! I wasn't feeling very well and my head was still in a lot of pain from my softball game the night before but since I had been so excited for this day for so long I decided to go ahead and go! Cory hates shopping more than anything, but he went to every store with me with a smile on his face. I didn't hear one complaint, sweet hubby. I had a fantastic day and got lots of great stuff. But these boots (pictured above) was my absolute FAVORTIE purchase. It probably helps that they were super clearenced and I got them for only $15! I love a great deal.

Tonight was our first softball game of the season! We had a double-header. We were so excited!

We lost both games. =(

During the second game I was running from 2nd to 3rd base and got hit in the back of the head with the ball. It made me fall and I went sliding on my stomach. I got a mild concussion and my knees are all cut up. I didn't know adult softball was going to be so intense. Here's to hoping that next weeks games go more smoothly.... and maybe I'll buy a helmet! =)

The first Bronco game of the season!

There was an hour long lightening delay and it rained on us for most of the game. But it was an awesome game and we killed the Ravens 23-49! This is our year, I have no doubt!

I love when I pull my sheets back at night to go to bed and I find little pieces of my kids! Pax loves playing cars in our bed in the morning while I get ready. We're always finding little "surprises" for us when we go to bed...... and I absolutely love it!

I took the kids to the museum today to see the exbo Build! A world of Lego's! We had so much fun building cars out of lego's and then racing them, building bridges for our cars to drive across, building houses, trains, and even a whole city! We also got to look at some lego displays. One man made a bike out of lego's, I couldn't believe it, it was great!

After we got home Alexis said to me "Thank you so much mommy for taking us to the lego factory, you're the best mommy ever!"

I take it they had a good time.

245/365

Today was a very busy day!

We started off by going to the parade! It's harvest festival in our town and this parade brings lots of people from all over. It's one of the only parades in Colorado that still throws out candy to the kids. The kids love bringing their bag and can't wait to fill it full with all the candy they get. It's a lot of fun! We showed up about an hour before it started so we could get a good spot in the shade, the kids were very anxious!

After the parade we went over to a friends house so we could have our fantasy football draft! There was lots of yummy food and lots of kids running around playing. I got some great picks and I have high hopes that my fantasy team will be winning this year! =)

Then I did some shopping, I had to get in on all these labor day sales! Since I've lost so much weight I really REALLY needed some new jeans. My jeans from last winter don't even stay up on me (which is totally awesome!) So I hit Old Navy, they had BOGO FREE on jeans. How did I get so lucky?

I had to hurry home and grab my camera because I had a photoshoot for a friend of mines family. She really wanted extended family pictures. There was 22 of them total. TWENTY-TWO! It was really hard directing everyone but I think I pulled it off, I'm excited to start editing!

And after all of that...I am completely exhausted. Good night.

We had my brother's surprise 30th birthday party today!

Here's a fun shot of him walking into the house and seeing everyone jump out and yell surprise! He truly was surprised, it was a lot of fun!
