Week 19
We started this week off with Alexis' Preschool Graduation.
They wore caps and gowns, walked down the center aisle, came up and received their diplomas, sang a song about going off to Kindergarten, which made my eyes fill with tears.
I still remember perfectly the day my girl was born. I remember holding her during those late night feedings and dreaming about who she would become, what her personality would be like. I remember thinking of Kindergarten and it seemed like a lifetime away. But here we are. It went fast.
I was invited to a Mother's Day brunch at Alexis' preschool. The kids made us a brunch (doughnuts, strawberries and whip cream) and they gave us lots of hand crafted gifts (the absolute best kind!) It was so sweet and so fun. I enjoyed it very much.
Last game of the season! After the game each player got a medal and a cupcake. It was a good first season and she says she wants to play again, so that's a plus!
Happy Mother's Day!
The past 2 years we have done BIG things for Mother's Day so this year we decided to keep it pretty low-key, which is exactly what I needed and wanted. We started off having brunch with my parents and brother/sis-in-law. It was snowing like crazy! It was peaceful watching the snow fall outside while eating a meal I didn't have to prepare OR clean up!
Here's my one and only picture for Mother's Day.
We spent the afternoon watching re-runs of Modern Family (love that show!) and being extremely lazy! For dinner we went to the Melting Pot and got our fondue on. The kids thought it was awesome to "cook" their own food and they had a good time with it. There was bottomless Mimosa's too!! It was the perfect day with my favorite people.
